1. About the safety notice
Are Finnleo Saunas Safe
Customer safety is our highest priority. Sauna360, the manufacturer of Finnleo has issued a Stop Use Notification and is pursuing a voluntary recall with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to address a potential fire risk caused by a possible short-circuit condition in certain infrared sauna models shipped before August 1, 2026. If you own an affected sauna, please stop using it until the approved remedy has been installed. Sauna360 will contact affected customers directly with next steps as the process progresses.
What is the safety concern?
Sauna360 has identified a potential fire risk due to a possible short-circuit condition in certain infrared sauna models. As a precaution, customers with affected products should stop using their sauna until the approved remedy has been installed.
Is this a recall?
Sauna360 has issued a Stop Use Notification and has applied for Fast Track status with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for a voluntary recall. Until the recall is officially approved, we are referring to this as a Safety Notice. Although it is described as a voluntary recall, you do not need to ship your sauna anywhere - the remedy comes to you and is installed on-site by licensed technicians once it is ready. We will update this page as new information becomes available.
How will I know if my sauna is affected?
If Sauna360's records indicate your sauna is included, you will receive a direct notification. If you believe you own an affected sauna but have not been contacted, please reach out to Sauna360 so they can verify your information.
2. Safety - what to do right now
I already own a Finnleo sauna. What should I do?
If your sauna is included in the manufacturer's notification, please stop using it until the approved remedy has been installed. Sauna360 is coordinating the remedy process and will provide instructions for scheduling service as soon as the process allows.
Do I need to unplug or disconnect my sauna, or is it enough to stop using it?
Please stop using your sauna until the approved remedy has been installed. You do not need to unplug or disconnect it - simply discontinue use. If you have any questions about your specific unit, please contact Sauna360 using the details below.
Is it safe to keep the sauna in my home while I wait for the remedy?
Yes. The guidance is simply to stop using the sauna until the remedy has been installed; you do not need to remove it from your home. If you ever notice anything unusual with the unit - such as an unusual smell, discoloration, or signs of overheating - stop use and contact Sauna360. If you believe there is an immediate hazard, contact your local emergency services first.
What should I do if my sauna has already shown a problem - unusual heat, a burning smell, or smoke?
Stop using it immediately and, if you can do so safely, disconnect the power. If you believe there is an immediate fire hazard, contact your local emergency services first. Then contact Sauna360 so they can document the issue and determine next steps.
Have there been any injuries related to this issue?
We are not aware of any reported injuries related to this issue. This safety notice is a precautionary step to address a potential fire risk that Sauna360 identified. For the most current information, please contact Sauna360.
3. The remedy / the fix
What is the remedy, and what exactly is the fix?
Once the voluntary recall and safety fix are approved, Sauna360 will arrange for a qualified service provider to install an additional safety device designed to shut off power if a fault condition is detected. The work is done on-site.
Will the remedy cost me anything?
No. The safety remedy will be provided at no cost to you.
Do I have to ship my sauna anywhere or transport it for the remedy?
No. You do not need to ship or move your sauna. Once the remedy is approved, Sauna360 will arrange for a qualified service provider to perform the work on-site. The fix comes to your sauna - not the other way around.
How long does the installation take, and do I need to be home?
The remedy involves installing an additional safety device and is a quick service - typically under an hour per unit. Sauna360 will coordinate scheduling with you directly, including whether you need to be present, and will share details as the remedy program launches.
When will the remedy be available?
Sauna360 currently expects the remedy to be approved during August 2026, with installations beginning as soon as possible after approval. Customers will receive updates directly from Sauna360.
Is there a deadline to have the remedy installed?
There is no deadline at this time. Because this addresses a potential safety issue, we do encourage you to stop using your sauna now and to schedule the remedy as soon as it becomes available. Sauna360 will contact you with next steps.
What happens if I choose not to have the remedy installed?
For your safety, we strongly recommend having the remedy installed and not using your sauna until then. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Sauna360.
4. Identifying your sauna and getting help
How do I find my sauna's serial number?
The serial number is located on the floor under the bench. Having this information ready will help Sauna360 verify your unit quickly. If you can't locate it, Sauna360 can help.

6. Orders, refunds, returns, and warranty
I ordered a sauna but haven't received it yet. Will mine be affected?

Yes. Orders remain open. New saunas will ship after the additional safety enhancement has been completed, which is reflected in our current 6-8 week delivery timeline.

We understand this is frustrating, and we want to make it right. The safety remedy is being provided at no cost, and our goal is to get your sauna safely back in use as quickly as possible.

7. Trust and going forward
Why is Sauna360 handling this instead of LA Pool & Spas?
Sauna360 is the manufacturer of Finnleo infrared saunas and is leading the regulatory process, customer notifications, and remedy program. LA Pool & Spas is supporting our customers by sharing accurate information and directing customers to the manufacturer for the latest updates.
What is the CPSC, and what does "Fast Track" mean?
The CPSC is the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the federal agency that oversees consumer product safety. "Fast Track" is a CPSC program that lets a company move quickly to an approved corrective-action plan rather than a lengthier process - which means the remedy can reach customers sooner.
